Title: A boundary value problem from fluid mechanics

Abstract
In this talk we investigate a boundary value problem involving a third order ordinary differential equation. Using techniques from calculus and a little topology we present results concerning the existence or nonexistnence of solutions for various values of a physical parameter for the problem. The talk will be accesible to undergraduates.
